About Layel

Layel was born in Curacao and raised in Holland for most of her childhood. She moved to Canada with her family when she was twelve and she thanks her mom often for making that decision!

Growing up, she was always infatuated with beauty and makeup. She loved how a great shade of lipstick or a perfect winged liner could instantly bring confidence to a person. At age 20 she studied make-up artistry at Marvel College. Her experience there showed her that brows are her favourite part of a face as they show a person’s emotion and expression. Ask her for the story at your service, its a funny one ;). From that time on, her mission was to become an expert at brows!

With every makeover, she completed a shaping and with every shaping, she embellished lashes. While having the privilege to enjoy many different careers in her life, Layel has continued her experience in the beauty industry throughout that time. In 2015 Layel had the opportunity to open her own studio in Sherwood Park, AB and she knew the time had come to do what she loved full time. 

About Dem Brows Studio was born and it is quickly becoming a well-known name in the community. Layel’s top priority for all of her clients is to ensure they leave her studio feeling proud and confident of the service that they have received — after all, her mission is to change the world for the better, one wink at a time.
